Mike Scimeca Rejoins Ghafari as Executive Vice President

Dearborn, MI – Global engineering, architecture, and consulting firm Ghafari Associates (Ghafari) is thrilled to announce that Mike Scimeca has rejoined the firm as an Executive Vice President heading its Operations + Systems Engineering team. In this capacity, Scimeca will focus on team development as well as provide principal oversight on projects and manage client relationships and new pursuits.

Throughout the course of his career, which spans over four decades, Scimeca has established himself as a prominent thought leader in process engineering, dedicated to streamlining operations, coordinating system design capabilities, and utilizing a lean approach for continuous improvement. His in-depth industry knowledge of the manufacturing sector and project management experience position him to expand and solidify Ghafari’s world-class expertise that brings people, technology, and process solutions to various industries around the globe.

Scimeca is a graduate of Ohio University’s Russ College of Engineering + Technology, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology. He also holds 6 Sigma certifications from Caterpillar in Executive Training and is a 6 Sigma Deployment Champion. Among his accomplishments, Scimeca was instrumental in building Ghafari’s Operations + Systems Engineering team when it was first established in 2001, and has directed projects in several countries including Brazil, Mexico, Singapore, South Africa, and India. Leading by example, he will continue to utilize proven processes that elevate client productivity efficiently and collaboratively. Prior to rejoining the firm, Scimeca held the position of Executive Vice President at Miller Industries in Fenton, Michigan, as well as Chief Technology Officer at EagleRail Container Logistics, where he will continue to lend his technical expertise as a member of the board of directors.
