As a Senior Vice President at Ghafari Associates, Matt leads the domestic mechanical, electrical, and ICT + security engineering teams. He has 34 years of experience in engineering and management, which enables him to effectively navigate complex projects worth billions of dollars. His leadership style emphasizes strong client relationships, mentorship, and professional development. His strategic insights and technical expertise make him a key contributor in advancing Ghafari’s mission and technical leadership within the industry.

Matt plays a crucial role in the design of lithium-ion cell manufacturing facilities. His expertise in laboratory design has been vital for delivering ultra-clean, low-humidity environments. By identifying critical components for environmental control and integrating advanced building systems, he has supported Ghafari’s growth in the electric vehicle and battery energy storage systems markets. Under his guidance, our MEP team has designed over 35 million SF of cleanroom and dry room environments.

To bolster his position as a mechanical engineering leader, Matt is also an active member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), Detroit Chapter. His involvement enhances his expertise and enables him to share valuable insights with colleagues and emerging professionals.
