Retrofit: Residential Unit Is Transformed into Office Space

Retrofit highlighted Ghafari’s design of an office space for Full Circle, a marketing and design agency based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, in a recent article. The project involved the adaptive reuse of an existing residential unit into a functional workplace, working within the confines of the 5,600 SF space.

During the demolition phase, the team discovered many infrastructural surprises, which would ultimately change the design approach. The client and team had to be flexible and work quickly to find solutions to challenges that continued to arise throughout the life of the project.
