American Airlines Terminal B Mainline Project at DFW Wins CMAA North Texas Award

The American Airlines Terminal B Mainline project at Dallas / Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) has won the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) North Texas 2025 Project Achievement Award (transportation category; construction value under $50 million).

The CMAA Awards celebrate creative and innovative projects around the world and recognize the best of the best – those projects that serve as an example to the industry and are true pinnacles of excellence and innovation.

Ghafari provided design services for the 88,950 SF renovation project, which included the relocation of existing regional carrier services, various concourse gates, holdrooms, and customer experience spaces as well as expanded employee access, concessions white box spaces, and revisions to TSA offices and the baggage handling system.

Ted Oberlies (Senior Vice President) and Jim Miller (Director of Fort Worth Office) accepted the award on Ghafari's behalf, together with representatives from American and Holt Construction.
