ENR Midwest: “Design Firm of the Year – Ghafari”

Following last month’s announcement recognizing Ghafari as “Design Firm of the Year”, ENR Midwest published an in-depth profile on our firm’s legacy as an innovator in our industry and a powerhouse in the Midwest.

The profile describes our evolution from a Detroit-area CAD services provider to an international engineering, architecture, process design, consulting, and construction firm, highlighting our ongoing dedication to adopting new technologies, advancing our delivery methods, developing our team members, and supporting the communities where we live and work.

“The Ghafari team has what has been referred to in the past as the ‘Midwest work ethic’,” ENR’s Jim Parsons writes, citing comments from one of our recent clients, Toyota Industrial Equipment Manufacturing (TIEM).

“[Ghafari team members] rolled up their sleeves and got to it,” says TIEM Project Manager Tim Hollkamp in reference to our work on their recreational complex in Columbus, Indiana. “They dedicated the resources to see that decisions were made quickly but thoroughly.”

ENR editors selected us for “Design Firm of the Year” based partly on data that we provided for the magazine’s annual “Top Design Firms” survey, which demonstrates our continuous growth and ever-strengthening position in the region. Ghafari earned $94.2 million in 2016 Midwest revenue, up 20% from the previous year.
