American Airlines O’Hare Admirals Club + Flagship Lounge Wins IES Illumination Award of Merit

We are proud to announce that the American Airlines Admirals Club and Flagship Lounge at Chicago’s O'Hare International Airport has received an Illumination Award of Merit from the Illuminating Engineering Society!

The lounges provide passengers with a refuge from the public concourse areas and the constant, noisy barrage of terminal happenings. Our design of the Admirals Club offers an atmosphere that is refreshing, flexible, open, and intended for shorter dwell times. The Flagship Lounge, geared towards elite patrons, is a more intimate space with a higher end, boutique feel.

Our design has a boutique aesthetic, with flowing lines, iconic images, and juxtaposition of materials such as wood and metal. These themes were extended to the lighting design and are echoed throughout the space. Architecturally integrated lighting creates a soothing atmosphere while decorative chandeliers offer a dramatic welcome, while maintaining the sweeping airfield views.
