A world-class maintenance, repair, and overhaul campus.

Overview

Turkish Airlines (THY) seized the opportunity to build an aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) base for Turkish Technic, their MRO services arm, at the new Istanbul Airport. We provided master planning services for the MRO development along with programming and comprehensive facilities design for the first phase of the technical campus.

Tailoring the Solution

A flexible layout that accommodates multiple aircraft configurations.

At 6.45 million SF, the completed base will be the largest single-location MRO complex in the world. Our design applies advanced facilities and systems technologies to offer solutions that are feasible, cost-effective, and geared towards future growth.

The 1.35 million SF Phase-1 campus encompasses administrative and engineering centers along with two hangars, one accommodating a wide-body tri-plane configuration and the other a narrow-body six-station configuration. The complex accommodates the largest known commercial aircraft in a flexible hangar platform.
