Located in the heart of downtown Detroit, the new headquarters office sought to unite a collection of teams supporting a diverse portfolio of companies while encouraging interactions among colleagues.
Split between two floors of new office space, the headquarters accommodates a variety of open and closed workspaces, breakout areas, a chef’s kitchen and team kitchen, a boardroom, and an auditorium. The showpiece of the space is a monumental spiral staircase that not only connects the lower and upper levels of the office but also creates serendipitous opportunities for employees who don’t normally work together to come into contact, fostering a sense of being part of a larger enterprise.
The sophisticated, high-end space features a variety of artwork, specialty lighting and accents, as well as hidden details that required close collaboration to ensure a seamless transition from the drawing phase to construction.
