Following our successful collaboration on their lounges at Chicago O’Hare, American engaged Ghafari to lead the design of a renovation and expansion project at their Admirals Club at Boston Logan International Airport. The project renovation encompassed the existing 12,000 SF Boston Admirals Club while adding approximately 4,000 SF.
The space features a reception lobby, main lounge, a dining area with a bar and serveries, conferencing areas, quiet rooms, offices, a kitchen, restrooms, and shower rooms. The design guidelines provided for flowing lines and juxtaposition of wood and metal finishes, along with new furnishings such as communal tables, high-back chairs, and power outlets.
Early collaboration between the design team and contractor / subcontractors allowed us to gain an understanding of cost impacts and constructability concerns.
The upgraded and expanded Boston Admirals Club helps solidify American’s brand presence in a key market while furthering their mission of serving “The World’s Greatest Flyers”.
