A notable housing solution in the Grand Rapids area.

Overview

The new multi-phase residential project is in direct response to the housing disparity in the Grand Rapids area. Utilizing HUD funding, the project provides 520 mid-range units, making it one of the most significant housing proposals in the region in recent years.

Tailoring the Solution

A former industrial site transformed into a modern residential development.

River North Apartments is set on a 7.5-acre site in the Creston neighborhood near downtown and the Grand River. Once a manufacturing site, this project will transform the area and provide modern amenities for its residents. The development includes a giant courtyard, pool, spa, fitness space, grill stations, a large clubhouse, and lounge with co-working space for remote employees or those visiting the area. Apartments range from microstudios at 450 SF to two-bedroom floor plans at 1,000 SF, among other options.

Many entities are coordinating efforts to achieve the design goals and scope of this multifamily project. A HUD consultant, Green Building consultant, and environmental consultant are integral to the pursuit of a Bronze Level LEED Certification.
