A regional market leader in healthcare, Beaumont Health continues to experience substantial growth. With some facilities at the Beaumont Health Trenton Hospital (BHTH) dating back to 1958, they sought direction on how this campus could support future care delivery models, services, and patient volumes over the next decade. They needed to determine the most appropriate use of the BHTH facilities and the capacity of its existing infrastructure. As a strategic partner, we were engaged to develop a facility master plan that factors in requisite additional facilities and services and aids Beaumont in prioritizing their capital investment decisions.

In developing a 2027 facility master plan for BHTH’s clinical and non-clinical support programs, we evaluated all existing buildings through the lens of future demand and infrastructure capabilities. We were responsible for guiding the process with data analysis, strategic recommendations, and benchmarking. Our planning team embraced a dynamic and logical approach to estimating future demand and the required space for clinical services and capital investment needs at BHTH while also recognizing its existing programmatic strengths and building upon them. The resulting facility master plan is a specific combination of cost-effective renovations and new construction that best aligns operational efficiencies for years to come.

Working with Beaumont Health, BHTH leadership, board members, and physician and clinical service line directors, we delivered baseline assessments, gap analyses, and a final master plan that gives a clear roadmap for the future. This facility master plan is embedded with flexibility and adaptability to offer innovative programs to meet emerging healthcare needs.
