General Motors broke ground on a $30 million reduced-scale wind tunnel, an expansion to the aerodynamic testing facility at its Technical Center campus in Warren, Michigan. The 32,000 square foot facility, designed by Ghafari, will increase GM’s reduced-scale testing capacity by 50% and full-scale testing capacity by 25%. With this project, GM aims to improve its test capabilities and support of aerodynamic development.
Ghafari took part in the groundbreaking ceremony, represented by Executive Vice President Mike Neville.
