For decades, the Last Planner System® (LPS®) has proven to be effective in improving workflows during construction. However, its application in design has been met with inconsistencies. In this 90-minute webinar, hosted by the vPlanner team, we will discuss various topics and best practices for applying the LPS® during a project’s design phases.
A panel of expert production planners, architects, and lean coaches will discuss their experiences while implementing the LPS® during design. Discussion topics will include the iterative nature of the design process, defining design handoffs and milestones, organizing design strategy to better support enabling construction, iteration vs. rework, the role of technology, pull-planning while working remotely, onboarding new team members, and sustaining the process through reliable promising for the long-term. The panelists will draw on their extensive experience in successfully implementing LPS® during design and will share examples and lessons learned.
The webinar will include an extended Q/A session with the participants.
