Ghafari Promotes Kristin Garstka to HR Manager

Dearborn, MI – Global engineering, architecture, process engineering, consulting and construction service firm, Ghafari Associates is pleased to announce the promotion of Kristin Garstka to Human Resources Manager.

Since joining the firm in October 2013 as a human resources generalist, Garstka has assumed a steady progression of increased responsibilities and proven to be a significant contributor to the HR department and company.

"Kristin continues to play an invaluable role during a period of significant hiring and growth at Ghafari," says Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer Christine McDermott. "Her knowledge and drive have contributed significantly to the evolution of the firm on a global scale.”

Before joining Ghafari, Garstka worked at Hino Motors Manufacturing U.S.A., Inc. as a senior human resources specialist and public relations administrator. She holds a Bachelor of Science from Central Michigan University and certifications from the HR Certification Institute and the Society of Human Resource Management.

Outside of her role at Ghafari, Garstka is an active member of her community, having served with a number of organizations throughout the Detroit Metropolitan area. She is a member of Junior Chamber International and served in a variety of roles with various local chapters within Oakland and Macomb counties. She currently acts as the associate financial director / treasurer for the Michigan Jaycees.
