Ghafari provided laser scanning, modeling and architecture / engineering services for the renovation of the 1890s structure. The building’s façade was scanned to gather more information on the rate of deterioration of the building. After analysis of point cloud information, Ghafari determined that the extent of the façade had deteriorated in some areas. This was illustrated in a 3D model and in 2D elevation extractions. Ghafari also remodeled the façade, focusing on the first two floors to improve the pedestrian’s perspective.
