Ghafari participated in developing a world-class engine manufacturing facility that has become one of the benchmarks for lean manufacturing standards. This joint venture between Chrysler, Hyundai and Mitsubishi is the first World Engine Program facility in the United States. Ghafari's expertise was utilized to provide initial planning analysis for material flow, storage and workstation layout requirements. In addition, we provided containerization program management and engineering services for the design and development of standard and unique containers, many of which were required to interface with automation. Ghafari also supported this project through the development of equipment installation bid packages, defining all installation and utility hook-up requirements.
