Ghafari staff, as part of CARE, provided program management and owner’s representative services for the in-line explosion detection system (EDS) baggage screening system project in Terminal 1's baggage handling room. The system consists of EDS machines, located inside a double-decker conveyor loop. The system screens each bag and delivers suspect baggage to the explosive trace detection (ETD) area or returns them to the baggage handling system for delivery to aircraft. The on-screen resolution (OSR) room and ETD areas are in a room adjacent to the EDS conveyor loop.
